Transpose Dissemination and Education

TRANSPOSE – TRANSfusion and transplantation: PrOtection and Selection of donors – is a European consortium project, including partners from 16 countries, reviewing donor selection and protection policies for substances of human origin (SoHO).

One of the main issues in the current donor selection system, which TRANSPOSE aims to tackle, is that most criteria are not evidence-based. The TRANSPOSE consortium tried to re-assess selection criteria, revised them and provided recommendations as evidence-based as possible.

TRANSPOSE will provide suggestions to improve directives and guidelines and a Donor Health Questionnaire, focusing on both donor health protection and safety of donations.

Save the date to mark in your calendars the Dissemination and Education meeting, that will be held in Rome on February 24th and 25th. More details about the meeting are available at the following link: https://www.transposeproject.eu/news/save-the-date/. The registration link will become available as of January 6th, 2020.

Given the relevance of the results of the project, the participation of all the stakeholders involved in the field of SoHO donation is strongly recommended, and we invite you to please spread the news within your organization and add the link to your website.
