The focus will be on multiple sclerosis as a paradigmatic neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative disease but we will also have talks on neuromyelitis optica and Alzheimer’s disease to allow for cross-fertilizing discussions.

Through a comprehensive scientific programme with a broad basic and therapeutic focus, our world-renowned faculty will address the entire spectrum from basic aspects of neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration to state-of-the-art and emerging treatments of multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica and Alzheimer’s disease.

Key topics addressed will include:

• Genetic and immunological understandings of multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica and Alzheimer’s disease
• Clinical management of neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration, with particular focus on multiple sclerosis
• Emerging concepts for understanding and treating patients, with a particular focus on multiple sclerosis
